This post is a mish mash of our August. There were some bed headed paleontologists who did some excavating in the back yard. Big discoveries!
I cleaned out the kids' folders from last year and got new ones ready. Our thoughts had to turn to preparing to school as much as we did not want to.
Grammie and Grandpa picked up the kids for time in Richland! Grammie didn't get a new hair-do, this fancy one was courtesy of the famous Columbia River Gorge wind.
While the kids were away, Mama and Daddy played! We got a little shopping in, which Dan was totally excited about.
He rallied for lunch at The Thirsty Lion though, which was delicious! I love soup and sandwich for lunch.
We hit the old movie theater in down town Camas. Love this place.
Sunday after church we went to the golf course for brunch and actually got to read the newspaper. It was so great. Many years from now when our house is quiet and our faces are more wrinkled, I hope this is part of our weekly routine.
Though for now, I'm happy with it being an occasional treat.
We relaxed by the pool and read and soaked in the sun...and went to another movie at Cinetopia where we enjoyed their yummy mud pie. Cinetopia is quite the movie going experience ~ we love it! When the kids are gone we pretty much eat out and go to movies. It's glorious.
And that's a little bit about our August ~ I might make it through this month yet! :)
