We're turning the corner to August and I can't believe that summer is nearly half way over. It's going much too quickly for my liking.
We're in the swing of T-Ball and swim lessons and Andrew's birthday party was this past Saturday. So last week was busy to say the least! First up is swim lessons!
The kids were SO excited when I told them they were starting lessons! We are trying a new place this year...it is in the back yard of a home close by. The kids' lessons are staggered over the course of 2 hours in the afternoon.
I took these before heading out the first day. Andrew couldn't resist a kiss.
And swings too!
I have to say, there are some sports/activities that are easier than others. I find Little League for example, to be so miserable in the rain and muck. But swim lessons, Swim Lessons are fantastic! :)
After Matthew is done, we have a half hour break when I were pleasantly surprised to see my friend Sheri arrive with her kids! So I get to have a short visit with her and then Kaitlin is up and my other friend Katie arrives!
I think it's funny that Kaitlin and Kennedy look like synchronized swimmers here. :)
Kaitlin spends a lot of her time being naughty and jumping off the stair where she is supposed to be waiting. She is just SO excited to swim she can't stand it.
Cute little hands.
Andrew is the last one into the pool. Which was a killer the first day. It was SO hard to wait. In his excitement even accidentally got in the pool with the wrong class and had to get out. So disappointing! He gets to swim with his friend Carter, which makes him happy as well.
He ended up getting a bloody nose after I took the above photo so I didn't take as many pictures of him.
We are very excited. I enjoy some sports, but I'm not a huge sports fan. However, I LOVE the Olympics! I love the stories of the people & and obstacles they have overcome and cheering on our country. And Dan & I are loving them being in London! It's been fun to watch the evening news and the different stories on the English culture. I'm not a big tv watcher, but I think I'm going to be watching a lot in the weeks to come. We're watching gymnastics right now. Kaitlin has been doing all sorts of Olympics in front of the tv today. She's been vaulting, diving, flipping...anything that comes on she is mimicking on the floor. It's so funny.
Go team USA! :)
