Apparently even the royals can't get children to cooperate for photos. :)
I was so excited about the Royal wedding....I remember being mesmerized as a child over Princess Diana and the dress. I was Matthew's age when she got married. And while Katie and Andrew are too little to really remember, I still thought it would be fun to watch and celebrate with them.
We started the day with tea and scones and the kids were really excited.
Katie picked out my ensemble. (My Sr. year prom dress and homecoming crown ~ knew they'd come in handy someday!) :) I was a little worried about being overdressed, but then when I saw all of the English ladies in their hats I felt quite comfortable. :)

The kids didn't love the tea, but they had fun pouring milk into their cup, adding half and half and a bit of sugar.
Who wouldn't love that? :)
We were quite dainty and used out best manners.
Andrew even got into it.
Sweetness.
Katie also selected her outfit. It was her "wedding dress" and headband.
Andrew chose his special outfit too...a polo with athletic pants. :)
Then we settled on the sofa to see the big moment.
And despite the fact that I had recorded it, I didn't fast forward through much at all.
I loved the commentary.
I loved the parade of hats.
I loved the historical facts.
And I loved the wedding.
Kate was a beautiful and graceful bride. I loved that you could see that Kate and William really had a friendship and fondness between them and Kate handled herself with such grace and confidence.
I loved that they are a "modern" couple, yet still had a classy, traditional wedding.
I was a fan.
Andrew thought these guys were picture worthy. He didn't last much past this.
Katie hung in there for a while, and watched Kate walk down the aisle, but then there was too much talking and she said, "They need to dance!" And then she found other things to do.
I watched it over the course of the day and enjoyed every minute.
It was fun to watch a modern day fairy tale.
I hope they live happily ever after.
