It was a shorter trip than what we had originally planned, but we packed a lot of fun into the day and had a wonderful time.
Here is the Bug in her Daddy's highchair. She was quite pleased to be sitting there.
We opened gifts after breakfast ~ the kids were SO excited to get started!
The boys received pogo sticks & Katie a scooter to keep at Grammie & Grandpa's house to enjoy on their visits. They were immediately put to good use!
Grammie has bought Matthew train ornaments every year since he was little....
Katie was thrilled with her new pony from Uncle David and promptly named her "Sparkle."
A perfect accompaniment to her imaginary pony, "Diamond."
We had some fun outside time doing pogo sticks....(it's harder than it looks!)
Riding scooters....
And playing in leaves. The best kind ~ big, dry and crunchy!
Grammie helped rake them into a big pile and then there was a lot of fun throwing and jumping.
I even got in on the fun and matthew snapped this photo.
This is unedited ~ I was impressed by his composition!
We had a really relaxing day ~ watching football (Dan got a well deserved afternoon nap!), playing marbles with the boys, we tried our hand at the keyboard and Grammie accompanied Katie while she "sang." Poor thing. She loves to sing, but inherited our ear for music.
We also enjoyed a lot of Christmas cookies!
We had a delicious ham dinner and then headed out for our evening drive home. It was a wonderful, relaxing, festive day!
Thank you, Grammie & Grandpa for a wonderful day!
Merry Christmas!!
