We had a really relaxing and fun New Year's Eve. Shannon's family came over to ring in the New Year (East Coast time). She brought these fun cupcakes which were so cute and festive. In contrast to the table set with paper plates and napkins left over from Christmas, and pizza/calzones picked up from our local favorite spots. We did make a salad. :) After the string of holidays, I just didn't have it in me to do anything fussy. But we had a wonderful time and just enjoyed being together. ~ Shannon's family feels like an extension of our own family. It's just easy to be around them. It's always relaxed and we have a great time.
Here's a blurry photo of everyone at the dinner table.
The two little ones were happy to have their own little table. The Bug was enjoying her first cup of Root Beer!
Hannah took this photo of us. She did a great job!
My sweet friend.
Here are the kids with their gifts. We did a book exchange. I took around six photos of the kids with their presents. Someone had their eyes closed in every one! Claire and Kaitlin had changed into more appropriate gift opening attire. :)
Ryan took on the kids in a sword fight.
The kids won. :)
Waiting for the ball to drop!
Grace won the award for best celebratory dance. It was so funny! This photo doesn't do it justice, but she was so cute.
Happy New Year!!!
