Noah's Cake

I have a friend heading out of town that is anxiously awaiting a picture of this cake. I made it for my sweet nephew Noah's 4th birthday which was at the zoo this past weekend (which I am excited to share more about later). A big thank you to my brother and sister in law who indulged me and let me make this cake. It was really fun for me to do and a labor of love for Noah bean. I get to do Isaiah's cake next month and I'm really excited about that too.

As usual, I have several posts to get caught up on...Matthew's first bus ride, his last T-ball game, Noah's birthday and Kaitlin's 19th month update--we're hitting milestones left and right.

But Andrew actually exclaimed tonight when I asked him to put his clothes in his hamper,

"Whoa!!! Massew!! Look at that!!! Mama you need to take care of the clothes before they touch the ceiling!!"

It's pretty bad. I have one more day before the family is in an underwear crisis. So the posts must wait. Will catch up soon.

Hope you all have a happy Monday!!

The cake was so beautiful, and perfect for Noah!! Thank you so very much. Isaiah and Noah are lucky to have an aunt who loves them so much!

Thanks for being good sports in the rain on Saturday. We had a great time at the zoo with you guys.

This cake is just beautiful!!! You're totally inspiring me to try to play with fondant - I love to bake and am pretty good with piping, but haven't delved into the world of fondant just yet.

I know you're super busy - if you get a chance, can you share some of the recipes (or just send links of they're on the web) for your birthday cakes? I make the same old pound cake every year - that is good - but some new flavors would be great - and the layers you had for the last cake sounded so incredibly good! (Especially the chocolate and peanut-butter.) :)

I'm going to try to make a cake for Anna's "actual" birthday on the 21st - if I'm not dog-tired by then - and ready to collapse. We're doing cupcakes that day at school for her (that I'm purchasing at Publix - am not wanting to make 30 cupcakes with tinkerbell decorations) - and dinner at Red Robin - but I'd love to make a homemade cake for her to enjoy after all of that.

We'll see ...

Oh, and I did cut out the banner template and got some pretty cardstock/scrapbook paper and ribbons - I can't wait to put it all together!
